Why They Need to Make Budokai Tenkaichi 4

Why They Need to Make Budokai Tenkaichi 4

First of all, let me say that I know that the chances of it happening are extremely low, but I felt like I needed to explain why many people still hope for Budokai Tenkaichi 4 to be made.

First, let’s talk about why no Dragon Ball Xenoverse game can replace Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in terms of combat experience. Dragon Ball Xenoverse games offer similar combat to Budokai Tenkaichi games and many more features that Budokai Tenkaichi games don’t have like online multiplayer and character creation.

I agree that online multiplayer and character creation are amazing features and if they make a Budokai Tenkaichi 4 they must add them to that game, and they will probably will.

That said, the reason that Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is better than Xenoverse is the combat and since both are fighting games, combat is the most important thing.

The combat in Xenoverse for me feels fake. The punches and kicks feel like they have no impact, and that for me is pretty annoying. The animations in Tenkaichi 3 made the combat feel more real and looking more anime like even though it was released back in 2007. Also, the energy attack animations in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 look a lot more realistic than Xenoverse, for example, the Kamehameha looks a lot better in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 than Xenoverse.

[adinserter block=”1″]

Now I know what you are going to say, you will say that this isn’t combat, it’s just animation. I agree that this isn’t exactly combat but for me making combat look realistic is a very important part of the game experience. If combat looks fake you can’t really enjoy it.

One more thing that Tenkaichi 3 has that makes the combat a lot more fun is that it has cutscenes when you do an ultimate attack or a special combo attack, that make the combat feel more anime like and since those attacks are hard to land if the opponent is good, it’s all the more enjoyable when you manage to land them.

Some more interesting things that Tenkaichi 3 does and Xenoverse doesn’t do is that your character’s clothes are somewhat destroyed or torn and the character seems to have bruises when an opponent land an ultimate on you. Also sometimes when you land some ultimate attacks of specific characters, a cutscene may appear where the planet becomes red from the impact of the attack and the stage that you fight changes to match the planet destruction.

Last but not least, energy attack clashes. It was an amazing mechanic in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 that made the game more faithful to the anime. Unfortunately, Xenoverse games don’t have energy attack clashes.

These things may seem small, but if you add them up, they have a serious impact on the fighting experience of the game. I can’t really understand why they didn’t add them to Xenoverse but the fact that they didn’t add them is the reason why many people want Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

They don’t even need to do much to make Budokai Tenkaichi 4 successful. They just need to improve the graphics of Budokai Tenkaichi 3, add online multiplayer, character creation and Dragon Ball Super characters and it’s done.

I hope that someday they will make this game that I described even if it doesn’t have that name. It’s disappointing that the last Dragon Ball Z game that I enjoyed was made back in 2007.

RNG: Is it Worth it?

RNG: Is it Worth it?

RNG is a well-known term among the gaming community and an infamous one at that. How much does it help a game though? Does it add more exciting moments in a game or is it just luck that could go either way?

What is RNG?

For those of you who don’t know, RNG is an abbreviation for Random Number Generator.

This term comes from computer science, and it essentially means that a random number between 2 given values is chosen. The number is obviously random.

However, in gaming, RNG is used to describe anything that is random or luck related.

Technically, this is still correct, as, for any lucky roll or calculation in any game, a random number is generated.

As we’ll see, there are many forms of RNG in gaming.

Various Forms of RNG

The most classic form of RNG is the dice. Anything that uses a dice roll is practically relying on RNG.

Besides board games, whose main use of dice is moving, there are many RPG games (tabletop or digital) that also use dice rolls for most of its moves.

The most classic example of both is the world-famous Dungeons & Dragons.

Another form of RNG comes in different kinds of RPGs, like MOBAs or MMORPGs, and that is the infamous critical chance.

Critical chance is a percentage that each character in these games have that calculates how many (and which kind) of attacks will critically strike, or in other words, deal increased damage. Yikes!

An equally annoying alternative to that is dodge chance, which works contrariwise; it calculates the chance to dodge an attack.

While the 2 are equally annoying, one is treated differently than the other, more specifically, dodge chance is seen as much worse than critical. More on that later.

Let’s move on to strategy games. Strategy games use RNG in many different aspects. Many strategy games use RNG to calculate battles between armies.

4X games take this a step further and use RNG to determine critical gameplay things like spawn points and stuff like natural resources or disasters.

Dungeon-crawler games are fully reliant on RNG for any generated floors/maps, or items and other miscellaneous things.

Card games, in general, don’t rely on RNG, but just the fact that you draw your cards randomly is considered RNG.

Many games today also use some kind of loot system that is purely RNG and rigged against the players. Fortunately, most of these loot systems don’t affect gameplay, lest the game become pay-to-win.

As you can see, RNG is integrated into every genre, others more so than others. And with different forms and depth.

Does it affect them for good? Should it be removed? Let’s find out.

[adinserter block=”1″]

The Good and the Bad

RNG is usually described as random. Like most things in the world, RNG has its supporters, as well as its adversaries, both in the player base community and the game developing one.

Its supporters claim that RNG creates exciting moments of gameplay due to its unpredictability. A game without RNG is at risk of becoming dull and/or stale.

Its adversaries insist that RNG is pure luck and should be altogether removed from any given game (that is not inherently RNG like card games).

The truth is in the middle.

Let’s look at each case I mentioned separately.

Firstly, board games. I have to say, that, despite creators doing their best, as long as dice are involved, a board game is going to be mostly RNG.

Sure, an experienced player who knows some advanced tactics may have the upper hand (especially in more advanced games) but you can never beat pure luck.

That’s why board games are mostly a casual way to spend the evening with the family.

Dungeons & Dragons are different though. the game is purely role-playing, so through various scenarios (involving combat and everyday actions like flirting with an NPC or drinking ale), you roll initiatives depending on the stat required.

There are many different dices used as well, besides the regular 6-sided, like 4-sided dices. 4, 6, 8, 12 and 20 are the most common but you can always find more.

Anyway, the game is purely for fun, you can lose, but it’s still about the story. If you have a particularly high stat you can roll for that even in situations where it’s not recommended.

For example, you can try and convince the evil mastermind behind an evil army to give up his ways and become friends with the group, and with a good roll, it works!

Now, critical and dodge. The bane of all MMOs. In these games, it’s really annoying to hope that the opponent doesn’t dodge and/or crit you, and/or you do the same.

Honestly, the games could do without them, but most game developers try to regulate them behind pseudo-randomness, which means no matter the percentages, there is something rigged.

For example, you might have 50% crit chance, but the developer may rig it to have a sure crit after, let’s say 8 attacks without criting, in order to prevent bad streaks.

Better than nothing I guess.

Strategy games are different. While RNG may affect many aspects of gameplay (including the start of the game), it’s all about how you handle any misfortunes or good fortunes that come.

That’s why they’re called strategy. Regardless, most strategy games allow you to regulate it with various settings, but to truly master a strategy game, you must learn how to handle every possible scenario.

Dungeon-crawlers have the fun kind of RNG. Not that it’s fun to be all random, and RNG can really mess you up, but these games take it to the extreme, where one game you are a literal God, destroying everything, and the next you die floor 1.

You know what you get yourself into if you play these games, so no one should complain.

Finally, card games. Frankly, as long as card drops and unlocks are not gated behind RNG (or a paywall), I’m fine with that.

Besides, creating decks that beat bad hands is one thing required to be a master card game player.

Final Conclusion

So what did we learn?

Sometimes RNG decides to be your enemy and leaves you frustrated.

Sometimes it’s good and fun.

Others, it’s just pure luck.

The best thing for RNG is for it to be:

  • a) Regulated, which means that it should be gated to avoid extremes.
  • b) Omnipresent. Every player should have the possibility to abuse RNG fairly.
  • c)Fair. There should be ways to play around it. RNG shouldn’t create feelings of unfairness.

This goes for more competitive games. Some games are created for fun, and RNG really boosts the feeling. RNG creates feelings of epicness. But it certainly shouldn’t be used in competitive games.

In the end, the bad feeling of RNG comes from competitiveness. When you put effort and time on something that is supposed to be serious and not casual, it’s logical to get frustrated when your labor gets taken by mere chance.

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

Hi guys! Today I will show you the results of our Survey for Anime Fans.

First of all, I want to thank all of you that took part in this survey, because you made this possible.

Second, I want to say that the total number of people that took part in this survey so far is 100. I would have liked to have a bigger sample size but this is enough for our needs.

With 100 people sample size, the margin of error is 10%. For example, if 60% of the participants reported a fear of heights, there would be a 95% probability that between 50 and 70% of the total population have a fear of heights.

Of course, the survey will remain open and those of you that haven’t done it till now can still take part in this research that we are doing. Here is the Survey for Anime Fans.

We also have a survey for GamersHere is the link. We would really appreciate it if you took the time to complete it.

Now without further ado, let’s see the results.

Gender & Age

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

We have to say that there were more females than we expected. It seems that it is a myth that the vast majority of anime fans are males.

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

57% of anime viewers are between 18 and 24 years old. That is something that we believe most of you expected. Nothing surprising in these stats.

Hours per Week

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

85% of Anime Fans watch anime between 1 and 10 hours. This is also something not surprising.

Favorite Genre

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

It seems the favorite genre of anime fans is Action with 18%, next comes Psychological with 17% which is a little surprising at least for us cause we believed that the second most popular genre would be Adventure.

The next question is one of the most interesting ones.

Piracy in Anime

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

According to the answer, 66% of Anime Fans watch anime on a pirate website. Let’s first see the next question and then we will talk more about this number.

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

89% of Anime Fans would watch anime on a pirate website and 66% of Anime Fans watch anime on a pirate website. Now that 66% could be legit stat but we believe that the number of people that watch anime on a pirate website is much higher.

Probably some people didn’t want to admit doing something illegal so they lied on the first question and told the truth in the second since in the second question they could tell the truth without admitting on doing something illegal. This is our opinion at least, whether you believe it is up to you.

Now the next question.

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

84% of Anime Fans think that websites, where you can watch pirated anime, should exist. That is a very big number, and it says a lot about the state of the anime industry since many people don’t have access to services to watch anime legally and their only option is to pirate them.

Subscription Fees

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

Only 32% of Anime Fans pay for a subscription to watch anime. That further proves that the majority of Anime Fans pirate anime.

Let’s see what Anime Fans think about DVDs.

Anime DVDs

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

It seems only 32% of Anime Fans buy DVDs of anime they like, which isn’t surprising to us.

Next, we wanted to know if Anime Fans think that they are too old to watch anime.

Age & Social Barriers

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

82% of Anime Fans Strongly Disagree that they are too old to watch anime.

Furthermore, only 3% seems to think that they might be too old to watch anime.

81% of Anime Fans Disagree that anime are for young people. From these stats, you can clearly see that Anime Fans believe that age doesn’t matter when it comes to anime.

Let’s see now one of the most intriguing questions, and it is intriguing because of the fact that many people think watching anime as an adult makes you unpopular or a loser.

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

97% of Anime Fans would reveal to their significant other that they watch anime. Also, only 17% of Anime Fans think that watching anime makes it harder to find a girlfriend/boyfriend. With this and the previous statistics, it is clear that watching anime isn’t something that affects romantic relationships as much as it used to.

Let’s now see what Anime Fans think about cartoons.

Anime vs Cartoons

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

72% of Anime Fans believe that anime are for older audiences than cartoons. Now whether this is true or not, it comes down to who you ask.

Anime vs Manga

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

The stats are pretty balanced hear as you can see. It seems that for Anime Fans anime and manga are equal and none surpasses the other.

Bonus Question

66% of Anime Fans Watch Anime on Pirate Websites

Only 18% of Anime Fans consider themselves as otaku. It isn’t a big percentage but it’s logical if you think about it.

Introducing TFT: Rise of the Elements

Introducing TFT: Rise of the Elements

At their 10-Year Anniversary, Riot Games (they finally earned that name) announced many things to come.

Among the announcements was TFT Set 2, or, as they dubbed it, Rise of the Elements (the whole theme behind 2019’s preseason). They also announced TFT on mobile (with cross-play compatibility) in early 2020.

TFT: Rise of the Elements would introduce a revamped roster (with only a few champions remaining from the previous iteration), a bigger board, an elemental theme different in every game through the Elemental Hexes, and a fully reworked Classes and (Elemental) Origins system.

They also said that they would focus on balancing the game better but more on that later.

Today, I will analyze this change of events and present you with my personal thoughts about it.

I also have a review of TFT that you can find here.

Without further ado:

How Did We Get Here?

TFT landed with a bang. It had such an amazing reception, that Riot couldn’t handle their servers!

Everyone loved the next big thing and this alone made many players return to League.

However, things did not go as well. TFT ended up being a complete mess of a game that awarded you for playing only specific things in order to win.

How did it end up over there?

Riot Games was changing things on a weekly basis. At the start, this included some light changes to overtuned stuff, and minor reworks to undertuned, underused, or straight useless champs, classes and origins.

Everything was great, the meta was shifting slightly, but, even though there were some optimal things, you could win by being creative and not having to worry about something absurdly overpowered.

Riot then decided that they wanted to introduce big changes that would shake things up.

So, they released new champions, a new Item Component, and a whole new Origin. As you can guess, some of these things turned out broken, and Riot was unable to fix it.

TFT ended up being a game of who gets 1 of 3 OP comps before the others, and they would proceed to easily win (by placing top 3).

Anyone who seriously deviated from these comps (or just tried to build something else) was at a severe disadvantage.

Apparently, Riot decided on big changes a long time before the announcements, as you could see by their balance changes that they weren’t trying to stabilize the game, rather, just keep it at a playable state for preseason.

In With the New; Out With the Old

So, what’s changing?

For starters, almost every Class and Origin got reworked. I mentioned before that Riot wants this new version to be more balanced. How?

They are completely scrapping the whole “a class/origin hard counters another class/origin which in turn hard counters another and so on and so forth”.

This circular logic didn’t work out because some classes/origins didn’t just hard counter the other, they invalidated them. So this led to a weird line where everything that the strongest class/origin doesn’t invalidate, is meta.

The new Elemental Origins, as well as the revamped classes, aim at having a relatively equal amount of soft counters and slight advantage toward some other classes/origins.

The game does seem more balanced on release, as you can build any comp and be as flexible as you want. You can always beat another player’s comp and always lose to someone due to synergies.

That doesn’t mean that the player with the luckiest series of opponents wins the game.

Positioning is more important than ever, and you are also judged by how well you utilize the game’s element.

That’s another change by the way; each game has 1 of 4 elements on the board (ocean, cloud, mountain, infernal).

That means that at the start, there will be a respective elemental hex somewhere randomly on the map (the hex is the same on all players, however), and another one at the start of the second PvP round.

Each hex gives a different bonus and takes up an item slot, so the decision-making potential here is limitless.

The Element of the game also determines Qiyana’s Elemental Origin. Qiyana is an Assassin with a different Elemental Origin every game. You can use her to boost your team with that respective element.

Another big change is on the champion pool size. There are now fewer copies of every single champion.

The intent behind this change is to encourage each player to build their own thing, instead of all trying to build the (number-wise) optimal comp.

They also rebalanced Items, but the changes are very little here, mostly to accommodate the new classes and origins.

As I said, the game does seem more balanced on release, and Riot said they would try to “shake things up a bit” without doing major changes that could break the game like before.

[adinserter block=”1″]

Final Thoughts

So, is it better? Yup!

Just the fact that you’re not forced to specific comps if you want to win is a HUGE upgrade for me.

In fact, I stopped playing TFT for about a month and a half before the announcement, I was really fed up with the state of the game.

But other than that, I personally adore the idea of Elemental comps and experimenting with different possibilities.

The fact that Riot encourages you to experiment and try new things out is even better.

If they can really “shake things up a bit” without ruining balance, then all the better. But TFT right now is well done (even though far from perfectly balanced).

At least when the new season kicks in, it will be much more fair to play and climb the rankings. The game is more dependent on personal skill, creativity, and mental agility than ever.

Finally, the mobile version will probably boost it to new heights as TFT will become portable, and everyone will be able to climb from anywhere.

Not to mention how much easier it will be to sneak some gaming time into your routine if it’s portable.

That’s all about TFT: Rise of the Elements. What was your initial reaction? Are you happy with the changes? Do you prefer things as they were? Leave a comment below.

7 Tips to Improve your Rank in League of Legends

7 Tips to Improve your Rank in League of Legends

Hi guys! Today I will give you 7 tips that will help you improve your rank in League of Legends. I have played League of Legends since season 5 and I have reached Platinum in both EUW and EUNE. When I climb the ladder, I see people do these 7 mistakes very often and it’s one of the reasons that they don’t rank up. If you do these 7 things, I guarantee you that you will at least end Gold no matter your skill level. Let’s begin.

tips to improve your rank in league of legends

1. Have a Small Champion Pool

Now, I know that pros know a lot of champions and you believe that since they are the best in the game you should copy what they do, so you try to learn a lot of champions. This is a big mistake that will keep you from ranking up.

Most people that are high up the ladder, don’t play a lot of champions. They usually know 2-3 picks in the lanes they play. When you have fewer picks, you have more time to become better with them, and being able to consistently play good with your picks will help you to win lane more often and that will help you win games more often cause you will be able to help your team more if you are ahead of the opponent.

So, to summarize, you must know 2-3 picks in each of the 2 lanes that you play. You don’t need more than that. If you want to learn new picks, then practice with them in normals. If you want to rank up, never play picks in ranked that you don’t have at least mastery level 4.

2. Map Awareness

Another thing that people don’t do, and it keeps them from ranking up, is that they don’t look the minimap often enough. You should train yourself to look the minimap every 3 seconds tops.

Looking at the mini-map helps you avoid unnecessary deaths. If you see the enemy jungler in another lane then you know you have 5-6 seconds (if you play in the mid lane, if you play bot or top and you see jungler on the other side of the map then you have at least 17 seconds ) to play aggressively and go for kill. You should avoid going for kills when you don’t know where the enemy jungler is.

I learned this the hard way because I did this mistake a lot when I was new in the game and I died many times from the enemy jungler ganking the moment I went for the kill.

3. Know at least 2 Lanes

As I mentioned above you should know 2 lanes and 2-3 picks in each of those lanes. Don’t try to learn every single lane in the game. You should practice in normals on other lanes but in ranked you should focus on learning to play on the 2 lanes you are best at.

One common mistake that people make is that they reach Gold 1 for example and then they try to play on another lane and they end up losing a lot of games. They don’t understand that they are Gold 1 in the lanes that they play and with the champions that they play on those lanes. They aren’t a Gold 1 players in every lane and with every champion

4. Use Wards Correctly

This tip goes along with the Map Awareness tip. I see many players play aggressive in their lane to the point that they have pushed the wave under the enemy tower and they have 0 wards in the bushes, then they die because of the enemy jungler ganking them, and just like that they lost the advantage they had gained.

Never stay near the enemy tower with no wards, it doesn’t matter how fed you are except if you are 99.9% sure that you can 1vs2 (this is the only exception and I still don’t recommend it if you want to have more chances to win). You will avoid so many deaths if you do this.

[adinserter block=”1″]

5. Change your Build According to the Situation

This is another crucial thing that will help you improve your rank. You should always build according to what opponent you have in lane and after the laning phase, you should build according to who is the most fed in the enemy team and who are the biggest threats.

For example I have seen countless times games where the enemies have champions like Vladimir, Swain or Illaoi who have a lot of sustain and not a single person in my team-built items with grievous wounds as passive and we kept losing team fights because we couldn’t kill them, and no one person with grievous wounds isn’t enough, you have to have 2 people because if that person that has grievous wounds dies then its game over.

So always build according to the enemies you have.

6. Play Safe When you are Behind

This right here is the reason most people in League of Legends flame and it’s so frustrating when people on your team don’t do this. Here is the Golden Rule, if the enemy in your lane has killed you 1 more time than you have killed him then you should start being more cautious, if the enemy has killed you 2 more times than you have killed him then you hug the tower and you don’t leave it except if your jungler comes for gank.

The reason most games are lost is because people don’t do this. They keep being aggressive in lane no matter how many times they die, and the enemy becomes so fed that the rest of your team can’t do anything to stop them.

7. Use Pings and Listen to your Teammates Pinging You

Last but not least, you should ping when the enemy in your lane is missing and you should do this more than one time. Do it at least 4-5 times. Ping ss in your lane and then danger ping to the other two lanes or one lane (if you see where he is heading). You should also listen to the pings of your team and back when they say you are in danger.

One thing that many people don’t understand is that by backing when your teammate pings you then you gain advantage over the enemy team cause the enemy laner that tried to roam gets no exp or gold and also loses exp and gold from the minions that are in his lane and died while he was roaming, and also the one in your team that was the opponent of that person gets free exp and gold and also pushes to the enemy tower. People usually in lower elos don’t listen to pings and they die and blame the one that his enemy laner roamed because he didn’t follow, when in fact if he pinged them its 100% their fault for not listening, because if they went back as I said before they would get an advantage.

Paladins Review

Paladins Review

A game eerily similar to Overwatch, Paladins is a multiplayer team-based shooter game published by Hi-Rez Studios, with many different characters.

The game is praised by most media, but is it worth it? This review will be split into storyline, gameplay, visuals, and finally, personal thoughts sections. Without further ado:

Storyline

So the game supposedly is split into 2 factions that are at war with each other; the Magistrate and the Paladins (or Resistance).

In order to reduce soldier casualties, they used Heroes, who are much stronger than regular soldiers.

Most heroes pledged their allegiance to 1 of the 2 factions, but some (the Mercenaries) preferred to keep a neutral stance and go with the best contract.

Other than that there are minor factions and the setting is both futuristic and fantasy/medieval. There is a knight with a flamethrower for example.

Gameplay

There are 2 teams competing for victory. Every team has 5 player.

The game begins when all players choose their Heroes. Afterwards, the objective for victory depends on the game mode.

Before we go to the game modes, let’s talk about the Heroes. Every Hero belongs in a different category.

There are 4 categories for the Heroes:

  • Front Line, the team’s tank. As the tanks, Front Liners’ purpose is to be in the middle of the chaos and soak up damage.
  • Damage. Pretty self-explanatory, they are the main damage dealers, and usually, have the ability to either nuke the enemy or DPS him.
  • Support. The Support has a mixed position. They try to position themselves as best as they can in order to disrupt the enemy and heal their allies. They usually have poor damage.
  • Flank. Playing Flank is certainly the hardest, as they are the most squishy Heroes. Their purpose is to use their excellent mobility to traverse the battlefield and find and eliminate key targets, or at the very least create some chaos to the backline with their presence.

The best teams usually have a mix of the above classes, as having too much of one class is not as optimal.

Now, about the game modes.

The first and main game mode is Siege.

In Siege mode, there is a central point which a team must claim control of. To gain control of that point, one of your team members must stay inside the point for a specific amount of time, without any enemies stepping in.

Each second in the point raises your percentage of control. When you reach 100% your team captures the point. If both teams’ players are in the point, then it becomes contested, and neither team raises their percentage.

After a team captures a point, a payload is created. Then, the team that captured the point has a specific amount of time to push the payload into the enemy team’s base. The enemies will instead have to defend it.

The payload is pushed (or defended) whenever any Hero from a team is within its close vicinity. If both teams’ Heroes are close, then the payolad doesn’t move.

Every capture, push and/or defence of payload grants 1 point. The team to get 4 points first wins.

It should be noted that no team can gain their final fourth point by defending the payload, which means they must either capture a point or push a payload to win.

Siege mode also has ranked play, with a ban and pick phase, and various divisions.

The next game mode is Deathmatch.

Pretty straightforward, Deathmatch is about continuously killing the enemies. The first team to kill 40 players wins.

The final game mode is Onslaught.

Onslaught is a mix of the aforementioned game modes. There is a point which gives you points when uncontested, and enemy kills also give you points.

The first team to 400 points, or the most points after a specific amount of time wins.

All-in-all, the main game mode is most worth it, as is the case with most games.

Visuals

The visuals aren’t something absolutely impressing, but they serve their purpose very well.

In fact, they’re the around the best graphics you can have that can play on a toaster PC (or Laptop) without much problems.

Personal Thoughts

Although everyone says that Paladins is an Overwatch clone, Hi-Rez claims they got more inspiration from TF2.

The truth is, that it is indeed very similar to Overwatch, right down to Hero kits.

However, the game is free, contrary to Overwatch.

And also, Overwatch has many clones, and frankly, Paladins is the best you can get for free.

So, I highly recommend this game to anyone wanting to try Overwatch, but unwilling to pay for it.

For me, Overwatch only tops Paladins in the character depth department, where Overwatch’s characters are truly amazing.

Final Verdict

Storyline: –

Gameplay: 7.5

Visuals: 7.5

General Rating: 7.5/10

This is it for my review. Do you play Paladins? Do you prefer it from Overwatch for it being free, or is there another reason? Leave me a comment below.

65.7% of Gamers Don’t Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

Hi guys! Today I will show you the results of our Survey for Gamers.

First of all, I want to thank all of you that took part in this survey, because you made this possible.

Second, I want to say that the total number of people that took part in this survey so far is 105.

Here is the Survey for Gamers.

When we gather 500 people in total, we will update this post with the new statistics, and we will combine the results of multiple answers. The reason we didn’t do that now is because we don’t have at least 100 people from each of the main gaming platforms and saying that 19 PS4 gamers represent the PS4 community isnt something we are willing to do.

We also made a new survey for Anime Fans. Here is the link. We would really appreciate it if you took the time to complete it.

Now without further ado, let’s see the results.

Gamers’ Gender

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

Nothing surprising here. Males were 89 and females were 16. We all knew that the vast majority of gamers were males, but it’s good to have proof.

Age Groups

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

As you can see 46.7% of gamers are between 18 and 24 years old.

It’s also nice to note that there are almost as many gamers that are not yet adults (17 years old and lower) as there are middle-aged (35 or more), which shows that gaming is not age-restricted as many people think.

Hours per Week

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

80% of gamers play video games between 1 and 30 hours per week which averages about 4 hours per day.

Gaming Consoles

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

55.2% of gamers play on PC. I can’t say that this is surprising considering that PC has a lot more uses than gaming consoles and since someone can have it all in one, the best choice for gaming is clearly PC.

You can also see the decline that XBOX has over the past years.

The following is one of the most interesting questions in this survey.

Favorite Game Genre

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

We have a clear win for Role Playing Games with 41.7%. No wonder there are so many today.

First Person Shooter games come second with 23.3%. None of the rest genres surpass 5% so there’s no need to mention anything further.

Next, we asked gamers how would they describe themselves, hardcore or casual.

Casual or Hardcore?

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

The 8.6% difference between gamers who consider themselves casuals and those who consider themselves hardcore was certainly surprising, to say the least.

Maybe there are a lot more hardcore gamers than people think or maybe people like to think themselves as hardcore gamers when in reality they aren’t.

The results in this next question also surprised us. I think many of you will be surprised as well.

Video Games as a Job

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

I think you may have heard many times from friends or have seen comments of people saying I would love to play games as a job. Getting paid to do the things you have fun doing is a dream come true right? It seems that this isn’t the case.

Only 54.3% of gamers would like to play games as a job. It turns out not so many gamers would want to turn their hobby into a job.

It’s interesting to note that the number of people who considered themselves as casual gamers and the ones who would like to have video games as a job is exactly the same (this doesn’t mean that the casuals all answered that they would like to have video games as a job).

This is odd, considering that usually if you are casual, you’ll probably be less interested in working by playing video games.

The next two questions have been a subject of discussion in the media for a long time now.

Video Game Addiction

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

72.4% of gamers don’t believe that they are addicted to video games. Usually, about 2% of all gamers are actually addicted, so 27.6% of you who think you are addicted might be a bit too harsh on yourselves.

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

57.1% of the gamers that took part in the survey answered that others don’t believe they are addicted to video games. That means that 15.3% of gamers have a different opinion from others concerning whether or not they are addicted to video games. Of course, not many people understand exactly how severe video game addiction is.

Another interesting subject of discussion in the gaming world is piracy. So we asked gamers if they would ever download a pirated copy of a video game.

We purposely didn’t ask if they ever pirated a video game because many people don’t like to admit doing something illegal even if it’s for a survey so rephrased the question in a way that we can get our answers without them having to admit they pirated a video game, and in that way, we also learned how many gamers would be willing to pirate a video game at some point if they felt the need to.

Downloading Pirated Games

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

62.9% of gamers would pirate a video game. If we are being honest the vast majority of these people have already pirated a video game.

Microtransactions

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming
65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

90.5% of gamers believe that a company’s bad policy with microtransactions can ruin a game.

77.1% of gamers consider the microtransactions a game has before they buy it.

Most companies, even though they know how gamers feel about microtransactions, keep putting more and more microtransactions in games that aren’t purely cosmetic and severy impact the experience of the players.

Purchasing Cosmetic Items

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

Another interesting stat is that 69.5% of gamers don’t even like buying even those purely cosmetic items.

There are a lot of games these days that are pay-to-win, especially the MMORPG genre, it is full of them. Here is what gamers think about Pay-to-Win.

Pay-to-Win

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

92.4% of gamers say that don’t play pay-to-win games, yet there are so many of them. It seems that companies consider the revenue they make from that 7.6% more than the need of the rest when monetizing their games.

Opinions on DRMs

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

72.4% of gamers don’t think that DRMs like Denuvo who severely impact the performance of games should exist. Companies still use those DRMs even though they only hurt their customers.

Those who would pirate their game can wait for a few weeks and won’t buy it just because they don’t want to wait.

Cloud Gaming is a new thing in the gaming world, and many call it the future of gaming. Let’s see what the gamers have to say.

Opinions on Cloud Gaming

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

65.7% of gamers don’t like the idea of Cloud Gaming even though there are services like Google Stadia which will be available soon, which is purely made for Cloud Gaming. There are a lot of problems with Cloud Gaming.

Monthly Fees for Specific Publishers

65.7% of Gamers Don't Like The Idea of Cloud Gaming

The last question in our survey was about services like Uplay+ and we asked gamers if they would ever pay a monthly fee to have access to games from a specific publisher.

68.6% of gamers would never pay for a monthly fee for services like Uplay+. No matter how much they try to push their new agenda, seems like gamers won’t stand for it.

They may want for Cloud Gaming and subscriptions to be the future of gaming but the majority of gamers don’t want them.

That’s it for our article guys. I hope you liked it. What do you think about the results? Did you find them interesting? Tell us your opinion on the comments below. See ya in the next article.

Anticipated PC Games – Fall 2019

Anticipated PC Games - Fall 2019

Hi guys! Today I will tell you the games of Fall 2019 that in my opinion, you should look out for. There are so many games released this Fall but those that I have written in this list are those that I think you should keep in mind. So without further ado let’s begin.

Gears 5 – September 10

I think most of you have at least heard of the Gears of War franchise. It is a very popular franchise with solid games. The game is a third-person shooter. The reviews for this game are very good and most people will say that this is the best installment in the franchise. So if you like third-person shooters, you should definitely check this game out.

Greedfall – September 10

Greedfall is a game that the Spiders Studio has given a lot of time and effort to make. Spider Studio so far has made games with a small budget and this is their first big game. The reviews are very good. The game is solid, though it has some problems mainly due to the budget. Despite of that if you like RPGs then you must check out this game.

Borderlands 3 – September 13

Borderlands is another popular franchise that many people love. Borderlands 3 is an action role-playing first-person shooter game. Critics and gamers give high praise to this game and most people say that this is a must-have for the fans of the series. If you like fps role-playing games then have a look at it.

The Surge 2 – September 24

I recently finished the first Surge game, here is my review of it. Now the Surge 2 does what the first Surge does and it improves upon it. It’s a game that follows the Souls game formula. Meaning it offers challenging fights with bosses and normal enemies and focuses a lot on exploration.  The Surge 2 has received solid reviews and it’s without a doubt a good game. If you like challenging third-person RPGs then this might be a game for you.

Code Vein – September 27

Code Vein is another game that follows the Souls game formula. Just like the Surge 2 it offers challenging fights with bosses and enemies and focuses on exploration. This game has also received solid reviews and it’s considered a good game. If you like third-person RPGs and challenging games then you should check this game out.

[adinserter block=”1″]

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint – October 4

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a third-person tactical shooter game. It’s a sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands which I reviewed here. I played the open beta a few days ago and I have to say it is definitely an improvement compared to the first game, though it still has some problems that need to be fixed before release. If you like tactical third-person shooter then have a look at this game.

The Outer World’s – October 25

The Outer Worlds is a single-player first-person sci-fi RPG. So far the game has positives reviews from those that have managed to play a portion of it before the release. Many say “this looks like Fallout but in Space”. This sure is a promising game and let’s hope that it doesn’t disappoint. If you like single-player first-person RPGs then don’t forget this game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – October 25

Call of Duty Modern Warfare shows a lot of promise through the gameplay we have seen so far and the new engine that it was made on brings the game to another level. The only problem with this game so far is the publisher which is Activision. A publisher that is notorious for microtransactions. Let us hope they don’t destroy a good game through the miscommunications system. If you like fps games then you should definitely keep this game in mind.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – November 15

Anticipated PC Games - Fall 2019

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the first single-player Star Wars game we get since the Force Unleashed series. It is certainly a highly anticipated game, though with EA you have to be careful with the microtransactions. So don’t preorder and wait a few weeks till you buy just to be safe, but if you don’t mind spending money then do what you think is best. I hope EA doesn’t disappoint us again. If you like Star Wars and single-player action games then keep an eye on this one.

Cloud Gaming the Future of the Gaming Industry or Not?

Cloud Gaming the Future of the Gaming Industry or Not?

Hi guys! Today I will tell you my thoughts on Cloud Gaming and what it could mean for the gaming industry and for gamers in general. So, let’s begin.

If you are a gamer then you have probably heard about the term Cloud Gaming, but what is Cloud Gaming exactly?

Cloud Gaming is basically a new form of gaming that allows you to game without needing a gaming console or a super-fast pc, you can play AAA titles with high spec demands on your toaster laptop and all you need is a very fast internet connection.

A few years ago, something like this seemed like a dream but now its actually happening with Google announcing Google Stadia, which is coming next year.

With this new direction that the gaming industry is heading to there are some problems that come with it that you the gamers can’t and shouldn’t ignore.

First of all, if you choose to play games using Cloud Gaming, you choose to now have a copy of the game on your PC, since when you buy a game to play it using Cloud Gaming you basically just get access to the servers of the service you chose to buy it from and they do all the processing for you.

The only thing they need from you are the inputs to play the game and since you won’t have the game on your PC that means that you won’t be able to play the game offline, and if something goes wrong with your internet speed, the game will lag.

Also, if the service you use, let’s say Google Stadia, chooses to close down, what will happen to the game you bought?

Will they give you a key to buy it from somewhere else? Will they return the money to you? I don’t think so.

With this “new” direction that the Gaming Industry is heading to, the way you buy games will change completely.

You won’t buy games anymore, you will buy access to the games through the Cloud Gaming service you chose, you will have no game files on your PC.

This is just one of the problems though.

You could say “this is all optional, I will just buy games the old fashioned way, like through Steam for example, and download them on my PC at home, no problem for me. If the others want to take the risk, then let them take it, I’m all good.”

You see this is where you’re wrong.

How long will it be before this “optional” thing becomes the new norm, meaning that the only way to play games is through Cloud Gaming?

You think that won’t happen right? Here is why it will happen.

Cloud Gaming is the weapon that the Gaming Industry will use to “kill” piracy.

You probably have guessed why. With Cloud Gaming, as I said before you won’t be able to download the game files to your PC, and with no game files, pirates will have nothing to crack to make a cracked game.

This is the Gaming Industry’s wet dream and Cloud Gaming will make it a reality.

Of course, they can’t force it immediately, they plan to get there one step at a time.

Firstly with Cloud Gaming as a “new option” and then slowly, each game distributing platform will adopt the Cloud Gaming model.

You could say “I pay for my games so it’s not my problem” but do all the people that pay for their games have super-fast internet able to stream games from the cloud?

I don’t think so. Well, it seems the Gaming Industries answer to these people is “it sucks to be you”.

Gaming will become something that you can’t do without a super-fast internet connection.

Oh, for those of you that have super-fast internet connection you have to search if you have a limited bandwidth because streaming games with cloud gaming take up a lot of bandwidth and you will probably run out of internet if you play for a lot of hours.

[adinserter block=”1″]

In the end, is Cloud Gaming a good idea?

The answer for me is yes and no.

Yes, because in the future, the average internet speed for everyone is high enough to stream games so that everyone can enjoy gaming without having to worry about how fast their internet speed is.

No, because very few people can have internet that is fast enough for Cloud Gaming right now.

Additionally, I believe that they shouldn’t force Cloud Gaming to everyone.

Some people prefer to game using their own PC specs since latency is much higher when you use cloud gaming.

Moreover, many people want to be able to play games offline and that can’t happen with cloud gaming.

At the end of the day it all comes down to how it will be implemented and how “optional” it will be in the future. We just have to wait and see.

That’s it for my article guys. What is your opinion about Cloud Gaming? Do you believe it’s good or bad? Would you try it? Write your opinions in the comments below. See ya in the next article.
